Italian Neoclassical Silver Gilt Wood and Painted Demilune

19th C
Delicate silver gilt wood and painted demilune with zoomorphic legs terminating in pied de biche. The side of the demilune is adorned with a neoclassical painted head and flanking scroll ornamentation. The top is faux marbre and is removable. Inside, the base is lined with zinc, making it possible to use this piece as a planter, if desired.
