Painted day bed

probably Alsacian France
18th century, Louis XVI
painted wooden daybed, Louis XVI period, date of 1787 is painted on the panel of one end piece within the white area with the initials T and S, surrounding a pastoral scene. The year pre-dates the French Revolution of 1789. A different pastoral landscape decorates the panel of the opposite end piece of the day bed.
